LPG Price Cut News: Commercial Gas Cylinder Gets Cheaper from May 1 Check New Rate

LPG Price Cut New – Starting May 1, there’s a small but welcome drop in LPG prices—but only for commercial cylinders. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced that the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has been reduced by around ₹17. So, if you run a hotel, restaurant, or any commercial kitchen, this should bring a bit of relief to your gas bills.

However, if you were hoping for a price cut on your home cooking gas—sorry, no change there. Domestic LPG cylinder prices remain the same as last month.

What’s Changed?

This price cut follows last month’s bigger dip when the cost of a commercial cylinder went down by ₹41 in April. That came right after a minor ₹6 hike in March. These adjustments are part of the routine price revisions based on international benchmark rates and currency exchange values.

What About Home Gas Cylinder Rates?

  • Delhi – ₹853
  • Kolkata – ₹879.00
  • Mumbai – ₹852.50
  • Chennai – ₹868.50

These are the non-subsidised rates. The prices are updated every month by IOC, BPCL, and HPCL based on international prices and currency movements.
